Social Saver is operated by Herder Elektronische Systemen. It is an independent product and is not affiliated with Meta, Instagram, TikTok, or ByteDance.
Information we process
We process your Social Saver account email and identifiers, sign-in and session information, plan and payment-provider references, daily-allowance reservation and settlement records, security and service events, and support messages. The payment provider processes payment-card details during checkout; Social Saver receives provider references needed to manage your account, not full card numbers.
Selected Instagram and TikTok content
When you ask Social Saver to save or find supported content, it uses information from the relevant supported page to identify and verify that request. Depending on the feature, this can include the selected post, carousel, Story, or profile identifiers; creator or owner identifiers and usernames; media type, order, rendition addresses and dimensions; and pagination or operation identifiers needed to return the result.
For Instagram, the current extension sends only the fields allowed for the active operation. It does not send unrelated observations collected earlier on the tab, and fields outside the defined data format are excluded. Other page details are processed only when needed for the selected feature.
The service temporarily processes the information needed to prepare a requested result. Acquisition and context information expires after up to 10 minutes without activity. Information used to prepare a download expires after up to 1 hour without activity. The service does not keep raw Instagram observation payloads as durable records. It does not receive completed media-file bytes; your browser retrieves selected media from the platform.
Extension storage and purposes
Social Saver stores settings such as your chosen download destination, account session state, and limited download and completion records in the browser so it can show progress, confirm completion, and prevent duplicate saves. We use account and operation information to provide requested saves, apply the shared daily allowance, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, secure and troubleshoot the service, provide support, and meet legal obligations.
Social Saver does not request your Instagram or TikTok password and does not send those platforms' cookies to its service. It does not collect browser-wide browsing history. We do not sell personal information or use it for personalized advertising.
Service providers
Providers may include Cloudflare for network and security services, netcup for hosting, Resend for sign-in email, and Stripe or another displayed payment provider for checkout and billing. Information is shared with providers only as needed to operate, protect, and support Social Saver, process payments, or meet legal requirements.
Logs, retention, and deletion
Application access logs contain request details such as a request reference, method, path, response status, and processing time; they do not contain request bodies. Application logs rotate by size, with up to three 10 MB files configured, so this does not establish a fixed number of retention days. Account, billing, allowance, security, and audit records may be kept as needed for service operation, reconciliation, security, support, and legal obligations; they do not all have one fixed deletion interval.
The configured edge setup has no operator-created Logpush job or persistent edge-log export destination; Logpull is not applicable on the current plan. The edge provider may process connection information under its own service practices. We do not make claims about provider telemetry that we do not configure or receive.
Sign-in challenges expire after 10 minutes; access tokens expire after 15 minutes; refresh sessions default to 30 days and can be revoked; daily-allowance reservations default to 15 minutes and are reconciled. No separate Social Saver application backup or log-export job is configured in the audited production environment.

Security and contact
We use measures such as passwordless sign-in, short-lived session information, account and allowance checks, access controls, network protections, and rate limits. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security. For general help, contact [email protected]. See Security & Permissions for how extension access is used.
